For being our Kickstarter backer, you are receiving an early release. The official publication date for Martial Hero is Feb. 2, 2027.
And I've been surprised how we keep blasting past all the stretch goals so I've been brainstorming what could I also add to the 300 Backer goal?
And I thought how about a giveaway drawing for the US physical backers? See that stack (figurine not included in the giveaway). I will ship my personal copies of these books which include unsigned books from contributing authors: JC Kang, Jeannie Lin, a full trilogy of the paperbacks of the Phoenix Hoard by (me) Julia Vee and Ken Bebelle, and 2 hardcovers of Alice Poon's books. I can't find my copy of JF Lee's book Sword of Sorrow, Blade of Joy so imagine it is in the photo but it will go in the box to the winner too! The winner must be in the US.
For international and digital backers, I'll put up one copy of the full Seattle Slayers quadrilogy ebook bundle which has Stakes and Bones, Bricks and Murder, Blood and Blades, and Fists and Fangs.
Also, how about a little more art? I'm working on a little something to see if we could include one more vellum print for the physical backers, and digital art for the digital only backers. Update to follow.

Adventurers...now you are 255 backers strong!
The stretch goal at 250 backers has unlocked and you will receive digital copies of additional art from Saiyre and the menus from Rinoa Ko's story! Additionally, physical tier backers will receive a vellum print of the art as well.
We are heading into the last 48 hours of this campaign and JC Kang will be doing a virtual tour of his Katana shop and chatting about some of his favorite swords at 275 Backers. He also has three Chinese swords as well to showcase. (If you didn't know, his shop is the largest sword dealer in North America!)

We are in the last week of the Kickstarter and we still have some cool things to announce for the Martial Hero anthology, so stay tuned!
Also big congratulations to contributing author Ai Jiang, and the announcement in Variety that her work is was optioned for an adaptation to a feature film!
I can't wait for you to read her story in Martial Hero, and also can't wait until I can add a copy of Martial Hero to my shelf next to her other works!

In one week, Martial Hero has garnered over 200 backers! This is incredible and we are so excited to share all these stories with all of you.
At 200 backers, we unlocked a Wuxia essay. I have been using my essay skills over on Substack to write about Pursuit of Jade, but rest assured, when I start working on this Wuxia essay that it will go heavy on the Jin Yong!
