We sent the smoke test. This goes to 5% of the backers so that we can do some QA. Mostly we need your address if you backed the physical items!
Also for backers who did digital only, it's another bite at the apple to have a trophy copy for your shelf!
I have located the perfect-sized shipping materials, which is half the battle. Packing party this weekend with me, Rinoa Ko, and Jo Wu!
Have been testing out various vellum thicknesses. Thinner vellum fits nicely in the interior, and flutters a bit, a lot like the robes of our main characters as they leap into the trees. Thicker vellum is sturdy, like it can practically stand up by itself.

1000 copies of Martial Hero (the special edition paperback) made it off the boat. It was a little scary when I saw the condition of one of the boxes.

Luckily, our overseas printer seems aware of the perils of UPS and Fedex so they pack it with loving care. Each book is wrapped in plastic, then encased in bubble wrap. They also put an additional layer of protective cardboard in the boxes too.
E-books are going out today!
Whatever your backer account name says on KS is what made it to the Thank you page on the ebooks. If you backed a hardcover or standard paperback, you can update the backer name in that version once the surveys go out.

Hello, Benefactors!
After some juggling and acrobatics, we've scheduled JC Kang's sword collection showcase for THIS Saturday, July, 18, 2026 @11a PT / 2p ET. A zoom link will be sent out from Kickstarter to your registered email accounts.
Additionally, we will be scheduling the zoom call with some of the contributors later in the year around Fall/Winter. Please keep an eye out for this announcement!

Limited Editions copies Landing in California before the end of the month!

The offset printrun of the luxe soft cover with french flaps should arrive in Long Beach before the end of the month. Rinoa Ko, Jo Wu and I will be doing a first round of fulfillment for those editions, likely in early August.
BackerKit has reviewed our pledge surveys and we should have those finalized soon, and once those surveys are out, I believe I can use the new digital fulfillment feature on KS for the stretch goal art. Epub file links will be coming via Bookfunnel. Barring any Kickstarter/Backerkit challenges, my goal is to get the ebooks out before I leave for San Diego Comic Con.

The Books Are On The Boat

The printer has given me the update that the limited edition paperbacks of Martial Hero are on the boat! Now they make the voyage to the Port of Los Angeles or Long Beach and then onto a UPS truck to me!

Pledge surveys from BackerKit should be coming within a week. It will ask for your shipping address. I've been told that if you are using an Apple email address it may be obscured so we might have to message you to request your email address.
